About Angela
Dr. Angela Lober is a breastfeeding advocate, academic, and writer. She has been an IBCLC since 2005, providing evidence-based care to breastfeeding families in her community. She worked as a Clinical Associate Professor Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University. In this role she taught evidence-based practice and research and guides students through their projects. Also at the university, she was the director of the Academy of Lactation Programs (ALP). The ALP prepares people to become IBCLCs and enter the field with a high skill set.
Angela now works as a public health researcher and health educator in the field of maternal-child health.
She is involved in multiple professional and community organizations supporting breastfeeding families. Angela focused her PhD on the breastfeeding complexities of late preterm infants. She is dedicated to working for a better world for families. Angela is also committed to education and mentorship as a means of uplifting and uniting the lactation and maternal/child health professions.

Angela has nearly 20 year of experience building hospital and community based programs.
Hospital examples: Late preterm policy and care processes, postpartum donor milk program, lactation workflow process improvement, breastfeeding and infant feeding policy development.
Community examples: Clinic development, partner collaboration, grant writing.
As an experienced lactation consultant, Angela teaches and mentors those new to the field. As a professor of lactation science, Angela has an abundance of strategies and knowledge to work through complex cases.
